‘VATAYAN’ literally means a window on the world. And this institution seeks to serve exactly as that window. It is important to stimulate the sense of the child so the he or she receives and perceives with an open mind. He cannot afford to grow into a ‘Koop mandook’. His mind has to be freed from the age old superstitions and taboos. Allow him to grow. Let him develop his own sense of discretion so that he can judge right from wrong. Let him learn to react positively in order to face the complexities of life. In particular, make him aware of the need for social change, let him see his self fulfillment in being a worthy citizen and a helping human being; let him take pride in the cultural heritage of India and let him realize the value of secularism and the philosophy of tolerance and humility.
